Our client needed to increase production of their chocolate candy bags. We paired our PrimoCombi multi-head weigher with our high speed XPdius i-130 to provide bag size flexibility and boost their output. The scalable design and small footprint of this system means the client is geared to quickly adapt to increased demand.

Case Filling System
Beginning with our Boxxer case erector to form the case, our BI 600 bag inserter then dispenses film on a roll, cuts, seals and inserts the bag into the case. Once the product is weighed and filled, using a V25 bulk weigh filler in this case, the case then passes to the BU 600 bag uncuffer. The bag is then uncuffed from the case and folded over the product prior to passing to our EZ Tape case sealer.

Pick & Place System
Our PKR Delta modular pick & place cell will automatically top-load your flexible bags and packages into cases or trays using our Delta Robot. Featuring gentle product handling by either vacuum or mechanical means, your product integrity and packing consistency are assured. And we can configure the PKR MS to accommodate a wide variety of case/ tray sizes and pack patterns. Our client needed to dramatically decrease labor costs with an end-of-line solution that would work with their existing primary packaging system. Engineered specifically to pack their product, this highly customized system was conceived, designed and built in an astonishing 20 weeks. The configuration of this system centered around their unique bottle shape, existing tray and case dimensions and required daily production goal. Because of its modular design, the client has the flexibility to add other stations in the future such as automated product loading and case labeling.
